The award winning play A DISTINCT SOCIETY is by Kareem Fahmy is a Canadian-born playwright and director of Egyptian descent. . Here he talks with HMM’s Andrea Cunliffe about his work as director and writer and this award winning play is inspired by true stories of Iranian families reunited at the Haskell Free Library & Opera House, built upon the international border between Stanstead, Quebec and Derby Line, Vermont.
