IDEAS For Us: Solving Environmental Issues Through Education, Engagement, Empowerment, & Employment

HMM producer Anna Steltenkamp speaks with Lee Perry and Clayton Louis Ferrara, respectively the chief operations officer and executive director of the United Nations Accredited NGO, IDEAS For Us. IDEAS For Us is an Orlando-based grassroots non-profit organization that creates global environmental solutions within the 5 Pillars of Sustainability (Energy, Water, Food, Waste, & Ecology) through local action. Since 2008, IDEAS For Us has taken action in 30 countries worldwide.

This is the second segment in a multi-part dialogue with Lee Perry and Clayton Louis Ferrara. In this segment, Lee and Clayton discuss further their multi-faceted approach to both educating and organizing environmental action projects. They address how education, engagement, empowerment, and employment are all essential components to solving global environmental problems. Further, they speak about the importance of a holistic perspective for societal reform, wherein the environmental, social, and economic aspects are considered together in the triple bottom line.
