Understanding White Supremacy workshop hosted by Extinction Rebellion

Acclaimed feminist author and activist Barbara Smith will lead a workshop for the grassroots group Extinction Rebellion on Sunday, August 16, 2020 on Zoom. In this extended interview with HMM correspondent Corinne Carey, Smith talks about why the environmental activist group is examining white supremacy, and how the discussion of white supremacy has to be part of any discussion about racism in America. She also talks about her life’s work fighting for freedom, and what gives her hope in these times.
