Citizen Action Rallies in March

Hear about the organization Citizen Action of New York, a statewide grassroots project with chapters throughout the state that works on political education and lobbying “with, not for, everyday New Yorkers.” Rosemary Rivera, Executive Director, explains the organization and highlights two upcoming rallies at the New York State capitol. The housing justice rally on March 19th will bring 2,000 people to support the housing access voucher program, good-cause eviction, and implementation of the 2019 Housing & Tenant Protection Act. Another rally on March 26th will advocate for higher taxation of corporations and the top 1%, as what she calls the “domino issue” to get funding for all the other causes.
