Community Overdose Response Training
November 2 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT
The Alliance for Positive Health‘s Community Overdose Response Training teaches participants the impact of opioid overdoses in New York State, the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, and how to respond. This workshop is preceded by an Cultural Humility Training at 1pm.
An opioid overdose emergency can happen anywhere, at any time. This training will help empower participants to respond, and potentially reverse, an opioid overdose emergency. Following this training, all participants are provided with a free overdose response kit, which includes two doses of naloxone/Narcan (the medication that reverses opioid overdoses).
