Albany Library Banned-Books Event

September 22nd-28th is “Banned Books Week,” a designation from the American Library Association to raise awareness about the issue of book-banning and book challenges. Hear from Andrea Nicolay, executive director of the Albany Public Library, about the issue, as well as a “Banned Books Read-aloud” on Tuesday 9/24 at the Washington Avenue branch. She also discusses a new position for Public Safety, mentions many other library services, and ends with note of another banned-books event, at the Women’s Club of Albany on the 28th. Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
