Physicist and solar boat builder Dr. David Borton is back with another episode of “Equality Under the Law, Practical Physics.” Last week, he discussed how the Aurora Borealis is lashes of energy from the sun– they are solar storms. In the last part of this discussion, Dr. Borton speaks to WOOC correspondent Meghan Marohn about the ways in which solar energy becomes even more important when considering the likelihood of a solar storm that wipes out the grid.
