Grannies For Peace Valentine’s Day Vigil For Gaza

On Friday, February 14th at Wolf Road and Central Avenue, Albany from 4 to 5 PM, Grannies for Peace will hold their 19th annual Valentine’s Day Vigil with a focus on Gaza. The theme is “US Bombs Fuel Genocide”. Mabel Leon discusses the vigil with Mark Dunlea of Hudson Mohawk Magazine. “As women of a grandmotherly age, love and compassion for children and their families suffering from war and repression is always a major part of our vigils. The suffering and deliberate execution of the Palestinian children of Gaza, and the occupied territories is beyond anything that could be called “war.” We are the only ones who can stop our government’s complicity with Genocide.
