Ingalls Ave Boat Launch Groundbreaking

Local officials were out in full force for Thursday afternoon’s groundbreaking at the Ingalls Avenue Boat Launch in North Central Troy. The boat launch, located at a site contaminated by a 19th century coal gasification plant and a recent junkyard blaze in which junk tires fueled an enormous fire that burned for days, has been in the planning and permitting stage for 20 years. The boat launch is expected to open next spring.
