Annual North-Central Troy Interfaith Holiday Justice and Peace Celebration 2024

Join us for our annual North-Central Troy Interfaith Holiday Justice and Peace Celebration, an event for the whole family! This FREE event celebrates our neighborhood, bringing us together over food, music, activities, and messages of justice and peace.

This year’s event will have music to keep us dancing beginning with Uncle Mac and his funky band Men of Faith, followed by Lavender of Music for the World who will be overseeing a singalong– anyone can grab a mic and sing with the music. Also offered will be

  • Group portraits with photographer Jayana Espinoza
  • A winter-themed reading corner with The Troy Public Library
  • Book gifting to young readers with Brea Barthel
  • Cookie decorating with Melanie of O’Malley’s Oven
  • face painting with Crystal Burnham
  • Mexican nichos with Yiyi Mendoza
  • writing messages of peace and non-violence for The Beacon of The Street Peace Project with Deyva Arthur
  • letters to Amnesty International with Jonathan Segol
  • wreath making with Azuré Keahi
  • art activities with Jillian Hirsch of the Arts Center of the Capital Region
  • food
  • and more!

The event will end at Freedom Square where we will light candles around the evergreen tree, sharing messages of justice, peace, and love.
