HMM Community Radio Day
April 1 @ 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm EDT
Do you like to tell stories? Are you interested in reporting on issues you care about? Do you want to engage with your community? Do you have questions for decision makers? Are you interested in amplifying important issues of social and environmental issues? Do you like sound engineering? If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask about getting involved in Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
Hudson Mohawk Magazine (HMM) is a local radio news program for the community, by community volunteers. HMM Community Radio Days are monthly opportunities to see what getting involved in this program entails. On these days you can come by, ask questions, and see the program in action. Although these Days take place once a month (see event calendar), you can schedule other times to come by too.
3:00-5:00pm: come by and ask questions, get trained, or use the radio studio to record an interview. We offer light beverages and snacks.
5:00-6:00pm: see how the hosts get Hudson Mohawk Magazine ready for the air.
6:00-7:00pm: sit in on a live recording of HMM.
7:07-8:30pm: join our weekly programming meeting where producers come together to program the week ahead. Meet our team, and share your ideas for for stories.
If you’re interested in being a part of Hudson Mohawk Magazine, please send an email to [email protected]
We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
