The Nile Project

March 21, 2015 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm EDT

Artists from 11 countries along the Nile River collaborate to create music celebrating the region’s instruments, languages and traditions to inspire and empower an international network of active change-makers for our rivers’ ecosystem. “Music is a language,” exclaims Ethiopian sax player and Nile Project musician Jorga Mesfin, “and in the Nile Project, the conversation is about love.” The love of craft, of place, of the river that connects eleven countries and millions of people. In partnership with Vasudha Living and Learning Community. The concert is proceeded by a workshop coordinated by NATURE Lab: Civic Engagement and the Management of Water Resources: From the Nile to the Hudson, followed by a community potluck.
