We’ve got new neighbors!!!! Welcome!! Troy Bike Rescue is moving to North Troy.  What began as a pile of old bikes and a series of parking lot workshops has evolved into a group of dedicated volunteers running and maintaining regular shops in both Albany and Troy.  This bike month, they will be moving the Troy workshop to North Troy and holding a blowout bike party Fun(d)raiser at the Sanctuary for Independent Media to support their efforts.  The event begins with a bike rodeo for kids and adults, followed by a silent art auction, raffles, dinner, and a program of short films and music MC’d by TBRs core collective members. There will be home-cooked vegetarian food, many artworks donated by local and regional artists, and raffle prizes from local bike shops and other restaurants. [This event would later be dubbed BikeFest.]

We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
