HMM 09 – 30 – 2024

Today, on the Hudson Mohawk Magazine,
First, Mark Dunlea reports from a Friday rally at Townsend Park to protest against the expansion of Israel’s war into Lebanon.

Then, Brea Barthel speaks with Carol Roberts and Laurie Dreyer about Troy Public Library’s upcoming October activities for youth.

Hugh Johnson is off this week, but Sina Basila Hickey joins us live to discuss her recent trip to New Orleans to attend the Grassroots Radio conference.

Later on, Andrea Cunliffe brings us her talk with Shirley Buh of the League of Women Voters about that organization’s efforts to provide traditionally marginalized folks equal voting access.

Finally, we hear from the Mooncatcher Project’s founder Ellie Von Wallsheim about that organization’s effort to address “period poverty” by creating and distributing reusable menstrual kits to menstruators in over 30 countries, including the U.S.
