Sampling on the River

Each month, water justice lab youth fellows collect local water samples, then work in the lab to process those and many more samples collected by volunteers throughout the upper Hudson River watershed. This year, fellows also had the opportunity to join Riverkeeper mentor Sebastian Pillitteri onboard Riverkeeper’s sampling vessel. They boarded at Troy’s municipal locks in Riverfront Park, rode through the federal locks upstream, and returned to the docks with water samples in hand!
