Michael Kotutwa Johnson Hopi Dryland Farmer – 8’05

American Farmers today are facing a growing crisis, as older 5th and 6th generation farmers struggle to find young relatives who want to keep the family business going. Michael Kotutwa Johnson is a 200th generation Hopi dryland farmer who works to keep indigenous farming practices alive in the American Southwest. WOOC Correspondent Mark Russo recently spoke with Michael at the Regenerate 2019 conference in Albuqurque, New Mexico.
