Environmental Activist Aaron Mair On Norlite
It’s been a busy week for news on the Norlite incinerator in Cohoes. In just the past few hours, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency assessed fines for violations of Norlite’s permits and the Department of Defense has backed away from plans to ship more toxic waste to Cohoes. Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent Steve Pierce spoke to longtime local environmental justice activist Aaron Mair for his perspective on the recent developments.
