A South Korean company wants to reclaim the metals from lithium ion batteries in a residential community in Endicott but they are using a dangerous high temperature and burning process to do it. While some recycling will occur this is in essence an incinerator. We talk with Dr. Paul Connett about environmental and health concerns from the project.
