Oakley Shelton-Thomas is a researcher for Food and Water Watch and lead author of the report “Fracking: Bridge to Climate Chaos.” Since the 1980’s, gas executives have used money and influence to convince the public that fracking is a “bridge fuel” to renewable energy, despite all evidence to the contrary. This dangerously misleading representation of fracking has been perpetuated by media outlets and in political spheres, including on the debate stage of the 2020 presidential primary.
