Albany’s Mayoral Race
Albany’s mayoral race has two women facing each other on primary ballots June 22, in addition to the city’s usual array of write-in candidacies. Incumbent Kathy Sheehan and the Rev. Valerie Faust recently faced off in a virtual Meet the Candidate event to demonstrate their different approaches and summarize the raison d’etre of their candidacies. Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Paul Smart edited down the nearly two hour debate, which included Republican candidate Alicia Purdy, to get at some key differences.
