In a wide-ranging interview with HMM correspondent Corinne Carey, New York Assemblymember for the 108th District John T. Environmental issues, housing, criminal justice, adult-use cannabis are among the topics McDonald addressed. Assemblymember McDonald, who is also a pharmacist in the city of Cohoes, also addressed the issues raised with the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. This is part 1 of a 3-part interview with the Assemblymember, and covers the environmental concerns raised by a Cohoes-based incineration plant, policing reforms, and marijuana legalization in New York. Parts 2 and 3 of this interview will address the outlook for 2021 in the state legislature, and vaccine distribution.
