The Lasting Effect of Generational Trauma by the Thomas Indian School
Professor Keith Burich is the author of “The Thomas Indian School and the ‘Irredeemable’ Children of New York.” Through his teaching of Native American Studies and through researching this book, Prof. Burich reminds us that even without the body count, the reform schools in the USA for Indigenous children tore families apart and resulted in generational trauma.
