Foraging for Wild Foods in Troy

Troy hosted its first Foraged Food Festival from March 23-30, and Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent Corinne Carey joined a group of foragers at Capital Roots’ 8th Street Community Garden on Thursday, March 26. Sean Rowe, local forager, led a group through the garden to identify edible wild plants. Foraged brought together foragers and local restaurants to feature foods that grow wild throughout Troy in creative and inspired dishes. The festival runs through Monday, March 30 with another foraging expedition and celebration at Soul Fire Farm. To learn more, listeners can visit foragednewyork.org.
