Mert Simpson is the incumbent Albany County Legislator for District 2 (Arbor Hill, Sheridan Hollow). He faces a spirited challenge in the June 27th democratic primary. Mert has been a leader in the climate justice movement and has been a social and racial justice activist for decades, including in the fight against apartheid in South Africa.
