Dr. Steingraber on Health Dangers in Homes from Fracked Gas
The Compendium of Risks and Harms of Fracking and Associated Gas and Oil Infrastructure (the Compendium) was recently released, documenting continuing and increasing impacts on health and environment. The report shows fundamental problems with the entire life cycle of fracking and its infrastructure, which includes pipelines, liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, frack sand mining operations, and gas stoves inside homes. The groups are urging New York lawmakers to take action, starting with passage of the NY Heat Act. Dr. Sandra Steingraber of the Science and Environmental Health Network talks with Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
