Fired for Including Pronouns in Email Signatures
At the end of April, two residence-life staff members at a small Christian university in upstate New York were fired after refusing to remove their pronouns from their email signatures.
Raegan Zelaya and Shua Wilmot, oversaw the residence halls, at Houghton University. Zelaya had already said she wouldn’t return next year, while Wilmot, would have liked to stay. Today we air the first 10 minutes of Raegan Zelaya and Shua Wilmot discussing why they include pronouns in their email signature.
In the last month, an alumni letter to the Houghton administration has been signed by almost 800 people. You can also find the rest of this interview with Raegan Zelaya and Shua Wilmot on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIduKGqyAuA&t=6s le.
