NY For All Seeks To Protect Immigrants From ICE
On June 1, immigrant rights advocates and legislative supporters gathered at the state capitol to call for passage of the New York for All law before lawmakers adjourn on June 8. The law would prohibit local law enforcement and state agencies from colluding with the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We hear from Murad Awawdeh of the NY Immigration Coalition; Senator Gounardes and Assemblymember Tony Simone; Damian Gonzales of Alianza Agricola; Julie Dragonitti of the Worker Justice Center; and assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha.
