Rally in support of CARE for Immigrant Families
The delay of the passage of the state budget also delays the approval of the Access to Representation Act or CARE for immigrant families and it’s promised funding of 120 million dollars. The CARE act guarantees legal representation for immigrants and asylum seekers in the state dealing with legal migration issues. Several groups of supporters rallied a the Capital on Monday to remind lawmakers of the urgency of passing a budget that include this provision.
