Report on the UAlbany Free Speech Event
Last week the President of the State University at Albany hosted a symposium on free speech. The symposium appeared to be a response to events hosted on campus in the spring featuring a speaker with virulent anti-lgbtq views and another publicly displaying graphic images of aborted fetuses for an anti-abortion group. Students and teachers protesting these speakers were arrested by university police and one instructor has been subsequently blacklisted from teaching duties. Emily Ledyard, who is both a student at the university and a Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent was at the symposium and posed several questions to the speakers. This segment was edited by the talented Moses Nagel.
