Autumn doings at Troy Library

Sourdough, poetry, the paranormal, Halloween, and much more! Chloe Whittaker, Adult Programming Director at Troy Public Library, describes so much that is happening in late September and through October. On 9/27 join a presentation on Fort Crailo and early Dutch history. On 10/3 you can get some fresh sourdough stater and learn what to do with it. Poetry on 10/7, “ghostly art” acrylic painting on 10/10, tips about online shopping and security on 10/14. Then the big events! The second annual Fall Festival on 10/19, noon to 4pm, will feature pumpkin carving, making scarecrows you can take home, a “spooky storywalk,” and much more. Then come back on 10/26 for “Paracon 2024,” for an event with folks from the Unknown Paranormal Society and others explaining ghost hunting, and even doing a live audience-participation activity. Too many other things to list here! For more details, visit www.thetroylibrary.org. Check out sites for other libraries and their activities. Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
