Home Care Workers Sue NYS Labor Department Over Lax Wage Theft Enforcement

100 home care workers were in Albany on Tuesday for a Supreme Court hearing on their case against the Department of Labor. The NYSDOL, despite admitting that the Chinese-American Planning Council has engaged in massive wage theft against workers, has decided to drop the case after years of investigation, citing a new rule related to arbitration. The workers are asking the Attorney General to investigate possible collusion, since the former head of the CPC recently took a high level position with Gov. Hochul.
