Saratoga BLM Sues Saratoga Over Racism, Civil Rights Violations

Saratoga Blacks Lives Matters have filed another lawsuit against Saratoga City officials and police for alleged “unlawful, wanton, racist” actions “to retaliate against” Black Lives Matter protesters. The lawsuit also alleges the city interfered with Saratoga BLM leader Lexis Figuereo’s family life when former Mayor Meg Kelly triggered a Child Protective Services investigation that targeted Figuereo and his partner, Gabrielle Elliott, after police arrested her when she showed up at the city police station to check on Figuereo. Video from that episode shows Elliott clinging to her child’s stroller as she was dragged into the station by police, leaving her two young children crying on the sidewalk. Lexis Figuereo and attorney Mark Mishler talks with Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Magazine about the lawsuit. (This is the full version).
