Troy Council President On Planning Commission

Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello has decided to replace the existing Troy Planning Commission with a new Troy Planning Board, saying that the existing Commission was too difficult for developers and homeowners to work with. Other charges that this is being driven by politics. While the City Council on a party-line 4 to 3 vote approved last week creating a new Board, the Council will still have to vote on repealing the existing law which established the Commission.
