Troy Library’s Database Resources

Learn about some of the new electronic resources available through the Troy Public Library’s website. Laurie Dreyer, manager of the Lansingburgh branch, overviews resources including Mango language learning, Cypress resume builder, and the extensive materials from novelnewyork.org. Those include book reviews, editable legal forms, medical information, full Peterson guide materials for preparing for standardized academic and professional tests, another resume builder, home improvement tips, and much more. She also notes that the full New York Times archive can be searched by topic or title, and that soon access to current New York Times issues will be added. To see these and lots of other offerings, go to www.thetroylibrary.com, click on online resources for adults, and scroll down to the research tab. (Take time to look at the many other items too). Laurie notes that many of these resources are available through any library in the Upper Hudson Library System. Happy exploring! Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
