AllofUs-Behind the Wall Rally

On Sunday, March 23, All of Us hosted a rally at the state capital. The title of the event was Behind the Wall: Friends and Family Speak Out. It featured formerly incarcerated people and relatives of currently incarcerated people speaking about the injustices of the prison system in light of the recent killing of Robert Brooks and the resolution of the Correction Officer’s strike. In addition, people were advocating for Daniel’s Law on the fifth anniversary of the killing of Daniel Prude. Daniel’s Law would fund mental health responders instead of police for mental health emergencies. Moses Nagel attended the rally. We will hear first from Luke Sikinyi of the Alliance for Rights and Recovery, followed by Shawn Young, co-founder of All of Us.
